A widow in Zambia

This morning, as I was praying through the requests in this week’s Prayer Partner email, I was deeply moved by one story in particular of a widow in Zambia.  I cannot even begin to fathom the trauma of having my home stolen from me and my children taken away from me to a shelter as a result of my homelessness—all in the wake of my husband’s death. Compelled to share this with each of you, I’ve copied the story below.

Praise God for the staggering miracle of total restoration he has brought to Melody and her children!

From the Prayer Partner email update:
Give thanks to God for IJM Zambia client Melody Nanga, who recently won her property back through IJM’s legal intervention on her behalf. After going through severe traumatic situations, she now has her house, six rooms to rent and a small shop. She will soon be reunited with her triplets, who had been living in a shelter when Melody was homeless as a result of property seizure. They are returning to her now that she has her home back and a stable source of income.

I’ve never known of a more wonderful hope-bringing, life changing, evil stopping, freedom-giving group than the IJM.

Thank you IJM Team Zambia for helping Melody regain her property! Melody, your hope recovered is our hope recovered! May you and your children live happily ever after! grin

Zambia Team - the difference you are making in people’s lives is staggering and beautiful… to think what would have come of this woman and her children if you were not faithful to God and available to intervene… thank you for letting the Lord use you in such powerful ways!

Praise God for the effectiveness of your work in Zambia! Thank you for sharing your successes and your burdens. I hope that in sharing these things, your stateside supporters may help you carry your grief and hardship, and rejoice with you when God blesses a mission with success. Know that you are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses to God’s faithfulness.

know that all of you in the IJM Zambia office and all of your clients (and perpetrators too) are being covered in prayers. Our Mighty God of Justice, Love and Peace is firmly on His throne.  You are not alone in your work for those suffering injustice - we are with you in spirit, prayer and love.

outstanding!  We are covering the Zambia team and all their clients in prayer.  What a blessing you are to these beautiful people who just need a louder voice and someone on their side.  How tangibly Christ can be seen in all your hard work and effort!  I may not be right there with you, but I am trying to help carry you along on a wing of prayer!  May God abundantly bless you, Zambia, and the work you are doing

A big hello to Kyla V. from Heritage Hill!  I pray for you whenever I drive by your old house, which is often!
