Urgent Prayer Needed for Multiple Operations

At this moment, the IJM team in Southeast Asia is working on a series of complex operations and they have encountered a number of very significant roadblocks.  We are absolutely desperate for your prayer.  The lives of many girls are at stake.

- Please pray right now for our team of investigators as they work to solidify plans for intervention – pray for wisdom and insight as well as endurance.
- Please pray for great collaboration with local authorities - pray that these men and women would be eager to protect the vulnerable and secure justice.
- Ask God to protect and comfort the many girls who are not yet free, to remind them He is there with them, and to speed their rescue and restoration.

We are very, very grateful for your prayers.  Please feel free to share your them or any words of encouragement for the team in the comments below.  We will provide updates just as soon as we can.

May the Lord Jesus Christ, Commander of the Army of the Lord of Hosts lead you on!!  Nothing can stop his flood of rescue.  Lord Jesus, send the Holy Spirit to clarify strategy for this blessed team of rescuers.  Protect them at every turn, enclose them all around with angels.  Kick over every road block, run down every obstacle and let help and encouragement come from unexpected sources.  Let Your presence be tangible to the girls waiting for rescue, and multiply hope into their hearts!  We praise you God of Heaven; let the walls of Jericho now come crumbling down so you can march in and rescue!!

I personally have great admiration and gratitude for your work!!  May the love of Christ be poured into your hearts!

Isaiah 40:28-31
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

In loving kindness Jesus came! I’m praying for those who wait to be rescued by the careful, bold, intense, planned operations of the team. May they know the kindness of God even in the sadness of their lives. May you, the team, know the bold, intense, planned love and power of God as you move in His name to set the captives free.

I have a deep-seated respect, admiration and thankfulness for the work you are doing.  You are living a life worth living because you are making an immediate and eternal difference.  Thank you so much for doing what I cannot do and being there for these young women.  I would be terrified and despondent if it happened to me and am so thankful you are there to fight for them.

Upholding you in prayer - Daniel 10 often reminds me to be persistent even when the answers are slow in coming.

Much love to the team… Karis

God is with you as you do His work. May He fill your hearts with peace, empower your minds with clarity and bind up the forces of evil who would stand in your way.
Psalm 18 ... Smoke rose from his nostrils and a consuming fire out of his mouth. He part the heavens and came down with a storm cloud under his feet.

May He reach down from on high and grasp (them) and draw them out of great waters. May He deliver them from their strong enemies.

Thank you for being his instruments. We stand with you in prayer.

May You, Lord, refresh & empower the team of investigators and others working on behalf of those in bondage, abused, and/or wrongly enslaved.  Give clarity, insight, & wisdom in these complex operations.  Lord we know that You know all things, see all things and can do all things.  Nothing is hidden from you and nothing is impossible for You.  Your plans cannot be thwarted.  Guide and cause plans come together as You would have them.  Put Your thoughts in the minds of the team and may the words spoken be the words You, Lord, give as the team works together and with also with local authorities.  Reveal and root out corruption; grant the favor of those in authority and of those with influence.  Give unity of purpose and action for Your good purposes.  Guide every step.  Give strength and endurance where needed.  Keep hope alive.  Grant success.  Pave the way for these girls and others enslaved to be rescued.  Your arm is not too short.  Protect & give great comfort to them and instill in them a hope even as they wait.  Thwart every evil plan.  Let there be turmoil and confusion within the wrongful operations and cause a crumbling from within, yet shelter & protect the girls in the midst.  We ask You to act for the sake of Your name and for Your glory.  Let the results be a mighty deterrent to all forms of slavery.  Guide also in and grant the means for effective aftercare.  Our eyes are on You, Lord.

I pray for the very same thing in those girl’s lives and hearts ... that they will find freedom in You.  Lord God, we praise you for you are the God of heaven .. and we have faith that You will do great things through this operation.  Indeed turning the place into a House of Prayer for Your Name!  for Your light will break down any stronghold which becomes the barriers to the rescue.  Only You can do it, Lord Jesus ... come, Lord Jesus, and take them out of such perverted darkenss into Your glorious light.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Please reveal your strength and your beauty through this operation and set these girls free from the people who have held them captive. You can do this. You can do anything. Be well, fighters for justice.  God continues to hear and act.  It is almost too sad for those of us with our freedom to come and go as we wish to even fathom the seriousness of the plight of these girls. I am in prayer about this today.

Posted by Brea on 07.11.10 at 11:32 AM

I am just now checking my emails from the past week and saw your urgent request for prayer.  I have prayed that God will and has already been working in this crisis.  God has laid IJM and the precious sex-trafficked children on my heart so that I pray for them almost daily and sometimes God even wakes me in the night to pray for these people i will never know.  The beautiful thing for me is that I know God has given me HIS heart.  He cares so much for the victims of injustice that He is calling each of us to intercede.  My prayers are with you!!  Thanks so much for the updates!

May all of you be comforted with His LOVE, PEACE and FAITHFULNESS knowing that He cares for each and everyone of you.

I was in Cambodia about a month ago working with an aftercare home in Siem Reap.  While there, my team had the opportunity to get a unique tour of the city from the man running the home.  One morning he took us on a bike ride around the city to different known brothels, while we prayed for God to invade the city and the country, breaking strongholds and bringing freedom and justice.  As a Freedom Partner, it was so encouraging to hear from the mouth of someone working against the Cambodian sex trade how impactful the work of IJM is in the city.  After hearing more specifics of what IJM’s work looked like in that city, it has allowed me to pray with far more specifically and boldly.  Know that you are so supported and appreciated in these countries.  God is truly using you as a part of his master plan.

Posted by Kimberly Fanrham on 07.14.10 at 02:06 AM

You are all doing your best out there on the firing line. you have it the hardest except the victims.
Our lord Jesus Christ does not miss anything-He’s God. But He does take different paths then the wayy we are looking.
His thoughts and ways are higher than ours.
Pray to clear your spiritual atmosphere of the roadblocks. Eph 6:12.
We all have a responsibility which is excellent.  If God is allowing roadblocks look for higher purposes.  Jesus talked in parables, but the ones who press-in get the understanding.
God’s great love and grace bring us to the point of healing/breakthrough. Jesus sees all.
ALL of us are praying harder because of the “roadblocks”. This operation needed more prayer. His body prayed in unity. Unity impacts resistance.
Without the roadblocks howwould we know this needed more?
Jesus is talking to us.

Dear God,
Thank you for the family of brothers and sisters we have in you all over the world. Thank you for this network that loves and supports each other. We are all concerned right now for the safety and healing of a group of young girls and the men and women who are trying to rescue them. Please hear our prayer. We pray because we believe that you exist and that you can work in this situation despite the fact that others don’t believe it. Lord I pray in particular for these men who are harming these girls. Whatever is missing in their hearts, whatever loneliness that drives them to this terror is something that only you can fill the right way. Please bring them to that realization sooner than later.
